The cough was experienced continuously every day, with phlegm that was difficult to clear despite the patient’s attempts at self-treatment. Since the onset of symptoms, the cough had shown no improvement; in fact, it tended to persist and increasingly interfered with the patient’s daily activities. Primary data were obtained through self-reported history and physical examination, including a home visit, completion of the family folder, and completion of the patient’s medical record. Assessment was conducted based on a holistic diagnosis at the beginning, during, and end of the visit, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Interventions included educating the patient about pulmonary TB, lifestyle modifications, and disease management, as well as explaining potential complications of the patient’s condition to encourage regular treatment and preventive measures.
Abi Pulungan Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli UPAYA PENANGANAN TUBERKULOSIS PARU PADA PASIEN LAKI-LAKI USIA 48 TAHUN MELALUI PENDEKATAN KEDOKTERAN KELUARGA DI PUSKESMAS BANDA BARO KABUPATEN ACEH UTARA http://jurnalmedikahutama.com/index.php/JMH/article/view/800
Mr. P came to the Banda Baro Community Health Center with a primary complaint of coughing up blood for approximately one month. In Indonesia, prevalence reaches 34.1%, with the elderly aged 65-74 years having the highest risk at 63.2%. Effective, simple, and low-cost non-pharmacological interventions are needed alongside pharmacological therapy to control blood pressure. Objective: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Benson Relaxation Therapy and Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) on blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension at Anyelir Integrated Health Post, Cijantung, East Jakarta. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test two-group approach was used. Forty elderly respondents with hypertension were selected using purposive sampling and divided equally into the Benson Relaxation group (n=20) and the PMR group (n=20). Each intervention was conducted for 15 minutes per session over two weeks. Blood pressure was measured before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Paired T-Test with a significance level of p<0.05.Results: Both interventions significantly reduced blood pressure (p=0.000). The Benson Relaxation group showed a mean systolic reduction of 10.45 mmHg and diastolic reduction of 7.85 mmHg. The PMR group showed a mean systolic reduction of 10.25 mmHg and diastolic reduction of 7.70 mmHg. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups, although Benson Relaxation showed a slightly greater descriptive reduction. Conclusion: Benson Relaxation Therapy and Progressive Muscle Relaxation are both effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive elderly. Both methods are recommended as complementary therapies for blood pressure management in community health settings such as Posyandu. Keywords: Benson Relaxation, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Blood Pressure, Hypertension, Elderly
Enggrit Elita Patria Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli GONDANG SABANGUNAN DAN MANGALAP TONDI : RITUAL WARISAN BUDAYA BATAK YANG DIPERCAYA MEMBERIKAN KESEMBUHAN http://jurnalmedikahutama.com/index.php/JMH/article/view/804
Background : ‘Mangalap tondi’ is a traditional healing practice of Batak Toba tribe accompanied by ‘gondang sabangunan’ rooted in spiritual beliefs.

Objective : Explores the healing ritual through neurological and psychiatric perspectives, especially the relation between subconcious and hypnotherapy .

Methods : Literature review using sources from neurology, psychiatry and culture.

Results : Therapeutic effects generated by ritual ‘mangalap tondi’ through rythmic auditory stimulation and also culturally beliefs. ‘Gondang sabangunan’ can induce relaxation and altered states of conciousness similar to hypnosis and can be alligned with psycoanalytic concepts of subconciuosness and the principle of hypnotherapy, focused on attention and suggetibility in managing mental and physical conditions.

Conclusions : The ritual reflects culturally embedded healing practice aligned to hypnotherapy and neuropsychological approachment. Patients with low Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) scores require effective
interventions to increase consciousness. One of the non-pharmacological approaches that is developing
is sensory stimulation, especially auditory stimulation using family sounds. The aim of this study was
to analyze the effectiveness of sensory stimulation intervention (family voice) on the level of awareness
of patients with low GCS. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with an
Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) approach following PRISMA guidelines. A literature search was
conducted on several indexed databases and 10 articles were obtained that met the inclusion criteria for
narrative analysis. The result is that family sound-based sensory stimulation is effective in increasing
GCS scores, accelerating recovery of consciousness, and increasing the patient's physiological stability.
In conclusion, family voice stimulation is an effective intervention and can be implemented as part of
family-based care in the ICU.
Syahla Indira Dewi Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ONLINE GAME ADDICTION AND STRESS VULNERABILITY IN STUDENTS OF SMAN 15 PADANG http://jurnalmedikahutama.com/index.php/JMH/article/view/805
Online game addiction is a disorder involving all types of problematic online gaming activities. All of these activities stem from excessive use of internet-connected devices (i.e., computers, smartphones, and other devices for gaming and navigation). Online game addiction is influenced by certain factors, one of which is stress vulnerability. This study aims to determine the relationship between online game addiction and stress vulnerability in students of SMA Negeri 15 Padang. The type of research used is a comparative analytical categorical with categorical through a cross-sectional approach. The method of data collection is by distributing questionnaires to respondents, namely the Indonesian Online Game Addiction Questionnaire (IOGAQ) questionnaire for online game addiction and the Miller and Smith questionnaire to assess the level of stress vulnerability of respondents. The data used are primary data with a minimum number of respondents of 140 people. This study uses univariate and bivariate data analysis followed by a chi-square statistical test. The results of this study indicate a significant relationship between online game addiction and stress vulnerability in students of SMA Negeri 15 Padang with a p-value of 0.044. Respondents who were not addicted had an average of moderate stress vulnerability with a percentage of 62.16% and respondents who were addicted had an average of high stress vulnerability with a percentage of 46.67%. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a meaningful relationship between online game addiction and stress vulnerability of students at SMA Negeri 15 Padang.
Henry Judana Simbolon Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli STIGMA TERHADAP PENDERITA SCABIES: ANALISIS INTERAKSIONISME SIMBOLIK http://jurnalmedikahutama.com/index.php/JMH/article/view/806

Keywords: scabies; stigma sosial; interaksionisme simbolik; konsep diri; pondok pesantren
Salma Kurnia Pratiwi Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS FISIOTERAPI DENGAN DAN TANPA MCKENZIE EXERCISE VIA VIDEO TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN AKTIVITAS FUNGSIONAL LUMBAL PADA PASIEN LOW BACK PAIN DI RS DR BRATANATA DAN RSUD RADEN MATTAHER JAMBI http://jurnalmedikahutama.com/index.php/JMH/article/view/807
Low Back Pain (LBP) is a common musculoskeletal problem that reduces quality of life. Conventional physiotherapy is frequently used, but the addition of video-based McKenzie Exercise as an independent exercise is believed to accelerate pain centralization and patient compliance. This study aimed to determine the difference in the effectiveness of physiotherapy with and without video-based McKenzie Exercise in improving lumbar functional ability in LBP patients. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental pre-post-test control group design. A total of 40 subjects were selected using purposive sampling and divided into experimental and control groups. Data were evaluated using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) questionnaire and analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test and Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (60%), aged 46-65 years (45%), and had a high school education (52.5%). There was a significant improvement in functional ability before and after the intervention in both groups (p<0.05). The experimental group showed a greater average decrease in ODI scores (from 21.75 to 16.95) compared to the control group. However, the post-intervention comparison between the groups yielded p=0.185. In conclusion, physiotherapy with and without video guidance are equally effective in improving lumbar functional ability. Descriptively, the results of the video group were better, although not statistically significant due to the limited sample size and confounding factors.
Andini Putri Alifia Putri Alifia Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Medika Hutama https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 7 4 Juli
